Background
As people become avid internet users and need more bandwidth for various applications like voice-over-IP (VoIP), video streaming (IPTV, video calls, etc.), peer-to-peer applications, etc. Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and/or Fiber-to-the-Neighbourhood (FTTN) are the technologies expected to be boost exponentially.
In order to supply for this growing demand both locally and internationally, FOPPEX, the first manufacturing facility for fiber optic pigtails and patch cords in Cyprus, was founded in 2009.
The company motto, “FOPPEX …because fiber is good for you” stems from the vision of working towards an “environmentally friendly, connected world”, and the logo color was chosen as green to emphasize this vision.
The customer base of FOPPEX varies from communication service providers, local authorities, universities, hotels, banks, industrial companies to SMEs, throughout North Cyprus and in the neighboring countries.

Main export markets of FOPPEX are the Middle-East, Southern Europe, and North Africa.

Manufacturing
Standardized and customized fiber optic pigtails and patch cords are manufactured at FOPPEX on time and in the highest quality.
The company has fiber optic cable automatic cutting machine, fiber curing ovens, fiber polishing machines, crimping tools, microscopes and 3D Optical Interferometer in order to assure the highest quality and fast delivery times.


Quality
FOPPEX products are compliant with the latest standard of the Telecommunications Industry Association; TIA/EIA-568-C.3 Optical Fiber Cabling Components Standard.
